Sony announces cheaper Midnight Black PS5 to launch alongside GTA 6, it's just a shame we won't be able to buy it

According to GamesRadar, Sony has announced a Midnight Black PS5 Digital Edition for Japan, with release timing alongside GTA 6 on November 19. The report says the model costs 55,000 yen, includes a matching Midnight Black DualSense, and is restricted to accounts set to Japanese language and Japan as the country/region.

For GTA 6 fans, the news is notable less as a global buying option and more as a sign of how closely platform hardware beats are clustering around launch day. Outside Japan, this appears to be one to watch from afar rather than plan around.
