Ahead of GTA 6, Rockstar narrative lead says the American Dream is "more modest now" but still "out of reach"

According to GamesRadar, Humphries discussed the theme in Love Magazine, connecting GTA 6’s Vice City setting with a recurring Grand Theft Auto critique of opportunity, ambition and money. He contrasted GTA 4’s immigrant story and GTA 5’s sharper cynicism with today’s version of the dream, framed less around spectacular success and more around basic stability.
